My friend Joan passed away Saturday, April 5, much too young. I'm glad I knew her. We had a great jam in her memory Sunday April 20, with a view of the Patuxent River and some intense thunder and lightning that we attributed to Joan.

Francis Scott Key High School (my alma mater),
Thursday, March 27, 2008...elementary, middle and high school students from the northwest part of Carroll County, MD putting on a great show including Mozart, Dvorak and Del Borgo.  Guest conductors included David Motter and Peggy Ward. The eloquent announcer was Miss Julia Schaefer.
