One note at a time into FinaleNotepad.  You can also do this with the number keypad or a midi keyboard. This method is tedious, but therapeutic and deadly accurate. Enter all 1st violin, then 2nd, then all the slurs and articulations. Save your work often.  I used to do all this by hand.  Sometimes I make one for Morgan and her viola, in the Alto Clef.

New rosin cakes must be lightly scored prior to use.  Maybe I over did it a little on this one!  Just don't dig so deep that you crack it.

Morgan comparing my violin with her 14 inch viola.
Also a pianist, she reads all the clefs. She's not upset, just trying for a look of mystery.

The tip or 'beak' of the viola bow is larger too.
